This 16-Hour course covers the training requirements for the Wear and Carry Permit AND the Maryland HQL Permit. We also include the Maryland Collectors License with this bundle deal.
Before you may legally wear and carry a handgun/regulated firearm, you must possess and maintain on your person a Handgun Wear and Carry Permit. The Wear and Carry Permit is issued to both residents and non-residents by the Maryland State Police.

This course is perfect for beginner shooters or shooters who want to freshen up on their skills. This course covers course requirements for MD HQL Permit as well as a deeper dive into firearms,
Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety.
Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor.

This 4-Hour course fulfills the requirements to apply for your MD HQL Permit
A Maryland resident must possess a valid Handgun Qualification License (HQL) before he/she may purchase, rent, or recieve a handgun. The Handgun Qualification License (HQL) is issued by the Maryland State Police and expires ten years from the date of issuance. The Handgun Qualification License is only needed for purchasing, transferring, or renting a handgun or regulated firearm after October 1, 2013.
